About the Author

James A. Davis

James Davis conducted research on the stress of unemployment at the Polytechnic Institute of New York. With the Center for Regional Technology and under a grant from the New York Times he taught in New York City's alternative education program. At North Country Options (Arcata, California) he designed and implemented management training programs. He was a teaching associate at the Psychological Studies Institute (Palo Alto, California).

At the Ashland Institute for Hypnosis, Mr. Davis designed and conducted individual habit control programs. He presented stress management and smoking cessation workshops for the Humboldt County Health Department.

James Davis has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a Master of Science degree in Organizational Behavior from the Polytechnic Institute of New York. He studied with the National Training Laboratory for Applied Behavioral Science (NTL) and trained with Richard Bandler and John Grinder.

Mr. Davis is the author of AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE: The Mental Part of Sports and Business.
